Yoga
“Yoga begins with listening. When we listen, we are giving space to what is.” — Richard Freeman
Throughout my years as a therapist, I have learned there are limits to talk therapy. While I am firm believer in the benefits of psychotherapy, I have also personally felt and professionally witnessed how uncovering insights through dialogue is only one step in creating desired change. Insights then need to be integrated into day to day life, and for me, I have found yoga to be extremely helpful with that process. Let’s move from listening to the stories that show up in the mind and spending time on the mat listening to what surfaces in the body. Attending a yoga class is a practical way of practicing self-love by slowing down, tuning into the physical body and witnessing what’s there with compassion. Continuing to return to the mat provides opportunity to integrate self-love and mindfulness into your day to day life. Come join me for a class at Casa Om Yoga Studio where I teach hatha flow on Tuesdays at 6pm.
